HELP US to make a book that highlights the unique social heart of the Noordermarkt

On the Noordermarkt, human connection and diversity are still very obvious. For more than 400 years, everyone has been welcome without distinction of color, religion, environment, nationality, age or gender. We want to mark such a place with A BEAUTIFULLY INSPIRING BOOK full of photos and interviews. A book that highlights the unique social heart of this market.

A small team of professional volunteers, led by Monique Engelenburg (see photo), is now working on the production of a brochure (dummy) that will give an impression of the final book to be produced. The dummy is for obtaining subsidies from funds, organizations and the municipality of Amsterdam. The photos are taken by top photographer Floris Leeuwenberg.
