The Noordermarkt is open as usual after 7 months in lockdown. Market entrepreneurs as well as visitors and customers are very happy with the reopening of the market since May 1st, 2021 and May 3, 2021 with 60% in terms of occupancy. April 28th, 2021: a prolongation of the closure has been announced for the 8th time for the NON-FOOD part of the Noordermarkt. On december 15, 2020 the second lockdown was announced; on January 12, February 2 and 23, March 1, 8, 15,  23, April 20 and 28, 2021 there was a prolongation of the closure for 80 (normally 120) market entrepeneurs with 'non-food' products. Only food, flowers, drugstore items and pet food may be sold.
